Students are supplied with comprehensive course manuals, excellent online resources (including recorded lectures), and dedicated study facilities in the heart of Dublins city centre as well as on the southside of the City in Templeogue. Law Society Entrance Examinations City Colleges FE1 entrance examination preparatory course offers students exceptional tuition and support for all eight law papers: Company Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Contract, Criminal Law, European Union Law, Equity & Trusts, Real Property and the Law of Torts. Those who have a recognised undergraduate degree, or who have passed or gained exemption from the Preliminary Examination, can sit these examinations which are held twice yearly, in Spring and Autumn. City Colleges boasts the very best and most experienced FE-1 lecturers and the most up-to-date and comprehensive FE-1 manuals in Ireland. City Colleges FE1 lecturing team have taught an outstanding 14 Law Society Entrance Examination first placed prizewinners between them. Kings Inn Preparation Course The Honorable Society of Kings Inns entrance examinations consist of five papers: Constitutional law, Law of Contract, Criminal law, Law of Evidence and the Law of Torts. To be eligible to sit these examinations, students must have either an approved Law degree or have completed the Honorable Society of Kings Inns Diploma in Legal Studies course. All materials are provided including up-to-date materials and past examination papers. This course is delivered by dedicated lecturers who have many years experience in preparing students to pass these entrance examinations.

Diploma in Legal Studies This programme is an ideal foundation for those who wish to gain an understanding of the law and the Irish legal system, and upon which further legal studies can be based. Modules include: Sources of Law, Contract Law, The Irish Legal System, Criminal Law, Tort Law and Constitutional Law. SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANCY City Colleges School of Professional Accountancy caters to the needs of students pursuing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Certified Accounting Technician qualifications. We provide quality tuition delivered by experienced lecturers who have the necessary skills and understanding backed by practical experience to ensure optimum examination results. The most up-to-date course materials and online resources are made available to all registered students. ACCA Certified Accounting Technician course provides students with the necessary qualification to work effectively in accounting support roles in all sectors of business. ACCA Part-time Courses The ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) course consists of 16 papers 9 Fundamental papers and 7 Professional. The Fundamental papers (F1-F9) equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge, skills and techniques required by the modern professional accountant. The Professional papers (P1-P7) build upon the technical skills already acquired by students and explores more advanced professional skills, techniques and values that are required and used by the expert accountant acting in an advisory or consultancy role at a senior level. To qualify as an ACCA member students must complete 14 papers, a Professional Ethics module and must have a minimum of three years practical experience. Our expert team of lecturers is available to discuss subject choice and give you guidance on how to approach these examinations. SChOOL OF ChILDCarE City Colleges School of Childcare offers professional and dedicated courses delivered by extremely talented and dedicated tutors who will provide all

the support, guidance and individual attention to students as they work to reach their academic goals and pursue their chosen careers in the Childcare industry. Online support and detailed notes for all modules are available to all registered students. FETaC Level 5 Childcare (Major award) This programme offers a solid foundation in the childcare industry for those wishing to pursue a career in this area. It is designed for those who wish to care for young children in a range of settings, which may include: Nurseries, Crches, Play Groups, Primary Schools and Special Needs areas. There are eight modules to be completed; Caring for Children, Child Development, Working in Childcare, Communications, Art and Crafts in Childcare, Early Childhood Education, Teamworking and Work Experience.

Since starting my Level 5 Certificate in Childcare last November I have enjoyed each and every class. The College is conveniently located and the staff always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. The course tutor Aoife Kelly has been extremely informative, professional and friendly. She is very approachable and is always quick to help with any questions or queries about the course. I have rarely missed a class which is testament to both Aoife and the course itself. I would highly recommend City Colleges as a place for adult education.

FETaC Level 6 Supervision in Childcare (Major award) This programme offers students more in-depth knowledge and qualifications for the childcare profession equipping them with the specific skills, knowledge and competence required to supervise in a range of childcare settings and support others in their role and performance. This course complies with the requirements laid out to qualify childcare providers for the ECCE scheme. Modules include: Child Development, Early Childhood Programmes, Social and Legal Issues and Supervision in Childcare.

FETaC Level 6 Certificate in Montessori Education This qualification provides an in-depth knowledge of Montessori philosophy and methodology, with specific training of the Montessori materials suitable for children up to the age of six years old. This course also provides extensive coverage on Montessoris views of the physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional development of children up to 6 years. It is a comprehensive course which qualifies students to run their own Montessori Schools or to add further in-depth experience and qualification for a person seeking employment in childcare. Modules include Montessori Philosophy, Practical Life, Sensorial Education, Montessori Language, Montessori Maths and Montessori Culture.

FETaC Level 5 Forensic Psychology This programme is designed to enable students to acquire an understanding of contemporary theories of criminal behaviour and to prepare them to perform practical tasks in forensic science.
