ORDER

On June 26-28, 2023, the claims of Plaintiff Citlaly Gomez against Defendant Metropolitan

Government of Nashville and Davidson County were heard before a jury of twelve.

In accordance with the attached Jury Verdict Form, judgment is hereby entered in favor of

Plaintiff Citlaly Gomez against Defendant Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson

County. The jury awarded $450,000 in compensatory damages. However, the applicable statute

—
Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-21-313(a)(6) —
limits the award against an employer of more than five

hundred (500) employees, of which Defendant Metropolitan Government of Nashville and

Davidson County qualifies, to $300,000. The Court therefore enters a verdict in Plaintiff Citlaly

Gomez' favor for $300,000 in compensatory damages.

In addition, pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. §4-21-31 1(b), Plaintiff Citlaly Gomez is entitled

to recover her attomey's fees for pursuing this action. An application for fees, including relevant

billing records, shall be submitted for the Court's consideration, within thirty (30) days of this

Order. Defendant Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County shall have the

opportunity to file an objection to the amount sought within thirty (30) days of that filing. The

Court will allow the parties an opportunity to be heard on the fee application and will set it for

hearing accordingly.
It is so ORDERED.

Entered this the flay of June, 2023.
