A RESOLUTION RECCOMENDING THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN COUNCIL TO

PASS A MEASURES FOR THE SUPPORT OF 2021 NATIONAL NUTRITON MONTH
CELEBRATION IN GUBATAN MACO DAVAO DE ORO

WHEREAS, Article II, Section 15 of the 1987 Constitution mandates the State to protect
and promote the right to health of the people and to instill health consciousness among
them; and Article XV, Section 3 mandates the state to defend the right of children to
assistance including proper care and nutrition;

WHEREAS, Section 17 of Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of the Philippine, further mandates local government units to exercise their powers
and discharge their functions as are necessary and appropriate for the effective provision
of basic services including child welfare and nutrition services;

WHEREAS, There is a need to institutionalize a comprehensive nutrition program in the

Barangay Gubatan Maco Davao de Oro recognizing that nutrition is fundamental to
achieving optimum health and well-being as well as in the overall development of all its
constituents;

WHEREAS, The Sangguniang Kabataan Special Committee on Health and Nutrition

Services convened for a Committee Meeting on July 17, 2021 to discussed the very
urgent measures of Sangguniang Kabataan that need an action of the Committee level;
WHEREAS, The Committee members of Health and Nutrition Services agreed to
approved the Resolution recommending the Sangguniang Kabataan Council to support
the NUTRITION PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES organized by the Barangay Nutrition
Council by providing nutrition interventions to children and food supplementation to our
young mothers and solo parents who are residents in Barangay Gubatan;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Honorable Vincent Joy Antipuesto and seconded by

Ruth Tormis be it;

RESOLVED, As it is hereby resolved, that the Sangguniang Kabataan shall recommend

the Sangguniang Kabataan Council to support the programs and activities for incoming
47th National Nutrition Month Celebration;

RESOLVED, That this resolution will be forwarded to the Office of Sangguniang

Kabataan Chairperson for appropriate actions;

I hereby certify to the correctness of the foregoing of SK Committee on Health

Resolution Number 3 Series of 2021 otherwise known as the “A RESOLUTION
RECCOMENDING THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN COUNCIL TO PASS A
MEASURES FOR THE SUPPORT OF 2021 NATIONAL NUTRITON MONTH
CELEBRATION IN GUBATAN MACO DAVAO DE ORO” adopted by the Sangguniang
Kabataan Members during their regular monthly session on JULY 17, 2021.
