Due to its growing urbanization, Pune is one of India's most polluted cities. To combat this
pollution, Cummins began investing CSR funds in "Creating Oxygen Hubs" and collaborated
with various NGOs, communities, civic authorities, elected officials, and the defense department.
The Pune Municipal Corporation, the Pune Defense Department, and other NGOs proposed a
budget of INR 1.112 Cr for Pune, which was used to plant 35,000 trees and ensure their
longevity. Here the company addressed the issues of Pollution and tried to increase the Oxygen
levels in the air.
