8.0 DEFINITIONS

9.0 PROCEDURE
In carrying out flushing of the 24” Existing PWD Marine Hoses, the contractor
(TGSL) will use water from the 6” Hydrate line. MPN permit to work program shall
be used to control all work associated with the site activities. An onshore survey by
the responsible Operations group shall be conducted as a pre-requisite isolation and
flushing activity as stated below

 Identification, tagging, and documentation of all isolation points


 Identification, tagging, and documentation of valves to be opened / closed
 Identification, tagging, and repair of “problem” valves
 Passing valves
 Leaking valves
 Inoperable (frozen)
 Identification, tagging, and documentation of blinding points
 Identification and documentation of systems that can be double-blocked and
bled
 Identification and documentation of points for introduction of flushing
medium.

This shall be the basis of the flushing procedure and documentation. For the
purpose of this work the following activities needs to be carried out after the line is
shutdown, cooled and pumped out, all items of equipment depressurized, drained
and vented.

9.1 SHUTDOWN
The entire responsibility of shutting down live facilities is the client’s. However,
Talon Global Services Limited shall be given the go ahead to isolate the line; by
spading them out at the inlet manifold.
Where the project activity affects only in part a section of the Manifold, which
will not necessitate flushing the whole Facilities, the affected part shall be
isolated from the other process units by spading out or flanged-off; using blind
flange.
