The human being is shown surrounded by technology in René Magritte’s 1998

piece of art known as Le Therapeute. Technology’s constant growth shows both
beneficial and harmful consequences on people’s lives. The bird in the cage
represents humanity as being overburdened and unable to advance farther in reality
because technology tends to conceal all flaws in life. Technology only shows the
positive and ideal aspects of everyone’s lives; all accomplishments and successes
of everyone may be seen with a single click. The man merely sits still while
intently examining the artwork, allowing himself to become a prisoner inside his
own cage. A bird is like a human; if you begin to open doors and expand your
wings, you will discover possibilities and never be deceived by the façade of
identity and modern life.
“The Healer” is one of the eight pictorial images that surrealist painter Rene
Magritte “translated” into three-dimensional form. Magritte had a precise idea of
what he wanted to achieve and went about finding the ideal means to execute
these sculptures. For “The Healer” he made a plaster cast from the feet of a live
model, and did the same for the bird cage. “The Healer” has a number of features
characteristic to Magritte’s enterprise, including the element of the unexpected,
the extraordinary within the ordinary, and the mysterious. This sculpture,
variations of which can be found in at least four of his paintings, came from a
photograph that Magritte took in 1937, titled “God on the Eight Day”. Although he
was a painter, by translating eight paintings into sculptures, Magritte provided a
different perspective on the function of objects and forms. Detached from the
confines of the picture plane, they are placed in the space as autonomous
presences and, through the change in scale, become different entities.

2. Inspiring viewers to consider the relationship between technology and
nature from Martin Heidegger's perspective is the video. It draws attention
to how technology has altered our interaction with the natural environment
by turning it into more resources that can be used and exploited by
humans.

The most exciting thing about this video, in my opinion, was how it made us
rethink how technology fits into our lives. It causes us to reevaluate the
principles that guide our technological advancement and raises important
questions about how technology affects the environment and our
relationship with nature.
