C.11.5. Specifications for Showjumping phase of Horse Trials & Combined Training.
 Conditions of Entry: Entry is conditional upon acceptance of these conditions.
1. Entry is conditional upon acknowledgement that PCV rules apply,
and acceptance of these conditions:
2. Sections may be combined due to low numbers. If combined Rugs
/ ribbons will be awarded for the combined section.
3. Entry Fee is $90 per combination PCV , Open $100 + $15 Day
Insurance (includes MEDICAL LEVY) : Non-Pony Club members
and PCA/PCV members who cannot prove their PCA/PCV
membership must pay $15 per day of participation unless exempt
by way of holding insurance (as per Page 2 -Liability Declaration)
with an equine organization or hold their own insurance.
4. No refunds after closing date except with vet or medical
certificate. An administration fee of $20.00 will be deducted. To
be claimed within 7 days of the event
5. ALL PCV riders must present 2021/2022 & 2023 member cards to
the office. ALL riders need to check in at office prior to
Dressage.
6. Dressage tests as per PCV Dressage tests Jan 2021, Dressage tests
are not permitted to be called.
7. Horse trials and show jumping heights and spreads as per PCV
Horse Trials Jan 2021 Cross Country and Show jumping
Specifications.
8. Riders must be 8 years or over
9. OTT Section, riders must register prior online through event
secretary to qualify for Best Performing OTT for each grade on the
day.
10. Correct ‘Standards Approved’ numbered helmets must be worn
as specified in PCAV Gear Rules. Spot checks may occur and riders
with incorrect helmets will not be permitted to ride. Refer PCA
‘Helmet Standards’ notice January 2017 for full details.
11. Back Protectors compulsory all grades- must now wear approved
safety vests during the cross-country Phase. see gear rules 1.4

12. Competitor numbers – the organising committee will supply
back numbers and they MUST be worn for Cross Country phase,
numbers on both sides of saddle cloth or bridle can be worn for
D & SJ phases.
13. All Riders must present to Gear check 20mins before riding in
each phase of this competition.The responsibility to ride in the
correct competition gear remains with the competitor. If any
judge or official discovers a competitor riding with incorrect
competition gear, elimination may occur.
*Cross Country Course will be open for inspection on Saturday 25th March 2pm – 5pm*
14. Competitors may ride more than one horse, competitively subject
to PCV By-Laws – multiple horse rules & ballot. Preference will
be based on listed order on entry form
15. Riders must supply a volunteer to work at event on the day and
register via the signup prior to the event.
16. The organising committee reserves the right to cancel any class
or competition; combine / divide any class; alter times; refuse any
entry with or without stating the reason
17. Queries, protests & horse abuse rules as per the PCV Handbook
of By-Law.
18. Horses must be at least age four. No Stallions, Colts or Rigs
permitted
19. Equal Placings will be decided as per PCV By- Laws 38
20. Hot weather policy will apply

24. Presentations Riders are requested to present in uniform for
Presentations, HT overall winners must present with mount
25. Covid Safe Requirements: This event will run under any relevant
Covid-19 restrictions. All persons on the ground must abide by
current COVID-19 regulations – details shall be provided prior to
the event when the draw is released to follow the current
guidelines of returning to sport
26. Official Photographer: SMZ have engaged an official registered &
insured photographer for this event, SMZ requests no other
photographers unless for personal use on the day.
27. Riding Times – will be available at www.eventsecretary.org.au on
the Wednesday 22nd March 2023.
28. CAMPING AVAILABLE: Book online when entering. $10.00
facility fee. BYO portable horse yards. Yards must be of solid
construction as per PCV By-laws 2021 29.1
