Course Description:
This course introduces the students to the development of the Philippines from the Pre-Spanish life and culture to the formation of the
government as a republic. It combines chronological approaches focusing on geographical settings, civilization, foreign influences and the struggle
of the Filipino people. Moreover, the course highlights the political, economic, cultural, social, scientific and religious history. Lastly, Martial
Law and People Power were given emphasis and analysis of the relationship of these two past events with the present condition of the nation.
