About The Program

Write Liberia" is the flagship program of SFI launched in September 2016 as an annual creative
competition to build confidence, develop and connect young people as literary thought-leaders in
secondary and tertiary schools. We have successfully implemented six editions focused on
different themes from child protection to entrepreneurship.

This year, the seventh edition tagged “Reimagining a Gender Just World ", is dedicated to
recreating a world free from gender biases and discrimination.

There is never a better time like now, to empower young people to craft the world they want by
helping them “Reimagine a Gender Just World”.

Summary Update of Data Base:

The program brought 62 participants from diverse schools across cultures and relagious beliefs that
focus is to enhance writing and speaking skills through life event writing. The program is divided into
categories: (Short Story, Poetry, Visual Art)

Short Story:

The short story component attracted 29 participants which is gender aggregated and is 17.98% of 62
