shortage of corn, coffee, and soybeans across the nation. As a grocery retailer, Meraki will be
directly affected by this shortage unless we act quickly.

I am still trying to wrap my head around this and understand how this could have happened, but
we have no time to waste, and I’d like you to jump right into finding some sort of solution we can
use to move forward.

The first step is to get a thorough understanding of how this happened. I’d like you to have a
conversation with Ray from the fulfillment team. Ray has been with the team for over 20 years
and in cases like this, I trust his judgment and wisdom. I want you to email Ray and ask him
about what could be causing this shortage.
