ZHAQYT-1 O13 type inflatable lifejacket fulfill the test and certification
requirements according to the standard EN 12402-3. front thror off coat, buoyant

The lifejacket consists of one air chamber. which is made of nylon 21 OD
oxford TPU composite material. an automatic inflation system including one
co~ cylinder. and an oral inflation tube. In emergency situation, when a person
wearing the lifejacket has fallen into water, the lifejacket will be inflated by the
automatic inflation system ,vithin 5 seconds. Additionally, it can be inflated by
manually pulling the toggle, to ensure safety of the people at risk to drowning.
When staying in water for a long time and finding the buoyancy not sufficient,
please inflate the chamber additionally with the oral inflation tube.
The inflatable lifejacket has the advantages of small size, light weight,
comfort. easy use, and is suitable for offshore operation.

2) To wear the jacket tight, close buckle, adjust the belt to fit as tightly as
possible.
3) When a person wearing the lifejacket has fallen into water, the lifejacket will
be inflated by the automatic inflation system within 5 seconds. Additionally
it can be inflated by manually pulling the toggle, to ensure safety of the
people at risk to drowning. When staying in water for a long time and
finding the buoyancy not sufficient, please inflate the chamber with the oral
inflation tube.
-l) The correct function of the inflated lifejacket will be affected by bad weather
clothing. Please reconsider to use in this case a lifejacket of higher
buoyancy level.
5) The lifejacket may be used only at ambient temperature range of: -30"C
+65'C.
6) The lifejacket only reduces the risk of drowning, and do not guarantee any
rescue.
7) The D-Ring and the lifting loop can help to get the person in trouble out of
the water.
8) The whistle can be used for sound alarm. The reflective tapes provide aim
for the rescuer to find the person to be rescued at low visibility conditions.
4. Caution
1) The lifejacket is not a personal flotation device (PFD) until fully inflated.
2) DO NOT inflate orally and then inflate via the gas cylinder.
3) lt is forbidden to knock the lifejacket or to throw it from a high height.
Never expose the lifejacket to the sun for a long time.
4) Do not use the lifejacket as a cushion.
5) Practice and train yourself in the use of the device before use.

6) Full performance may not be achieved using waterproof clothing. In doubt,
refer to the leaflet.
7) It is unsafe to wear the lifejacket with the waist belt untightened.
8) Warning: Gas cylinders are dangerous goods. They shall be kept away from
\ children and must not be misused.
j 9) Warning: Do not apply any diapers which provide buoyancy when using the
lifejacket.
10) Special warning: The cylinder may be empty although one still can see the
•'Green" status indicator inside of the automatic device. If in doubt, unscrew
the gas cylinder and assure yourself that the cylinder has not already been
used by control of the unbroken seal of the cylinder.
~ 11) Do not use the lifejacket if any red indication is visible.
5. Cleaning, storage and maintenance
1) Rinse the lifejacket in fresh water with a mild detergent only after use. Do
not machine wash, dry clean and use stain removers. Drip dry away from
direct heat and solar radiation.
2) Store in dry conditions between o·c to +35"C , and relative humidity of85%
or less. The lifejacket shall not be compressed.
3) The CO2 content of the gas cylinder and the lifejacket shall be checked each
year by an approved local service company. Maintain it more frequently if in
heavy use.
'i 4) The entire lifejacket should be checked at least every 3 years.
j 5) Please note the CO2 cylinder and the automatic actuation medium inside the
transparent container (bobbin) are one-off and can not be used a second time.
After the lifejacket being inflated, the bobbin for automatic actuation and the
gas cylinder must be replaced immediately.

6. Instruction for replacement of the automatic actuation medium (bobbin)

The medium (bobbin) inside of the automatic inflation system is one-off,
and shall be replaced immediately after automatic inflation. Ready for use, the

Inflated by the automatic actuator, the "green" colour indicator retracts
inflation system pedestal
into the transparent cover about 6 mm, and the red spring protrude about 5 mm green clip
from the bonom of the transparent cover, showing its visible "red"colour
indicating the ··not ready" condition.
Deviating from the standard, where a "red" colour status indicator shall be
visible whenever a ''green"colour status indicator is absent, the red indication
will be visible at the same time as the protruded green indication. Thus, please

7. Identify the charging level of the cylinder (full/empty) by viewing
Ready for use, the "Green" coloured status indicators of the automatic
device will be visible. The green clips on the automatic device indicates that the
cylinder has not been manually emptied. The green spot at the bottom of the
actuator indicates that the automatic actuator has not been released by being
into the water. Both indications together provide the "ready" condition showing
that the lifejacket is ready for use.
lnflated by automatic actuator, the "Red" colour status indicator inside of
the automatic device is visible indicate "not ready" condition. showing the
cylinder is empty, require the user replace the bobbin and cylinder with a new
one.
Manual actuated. the green clips on the automatic device is m1ss1ng,
showing that the cylinder is empty, although the "green" colour status indicator
inside of the automatic device will be still visible if the jackets not be exposed to
water. In this case, the user have just to replace the gas cylinder with a new one.
Do not use the lifejacket if any red indication is visible.
ln any case, the CO2 content of the gas cylinder shall be checked each year
by an approved local service company. Maintain it more frequently if in heavy
use.
