Products/services
Every learner deserves high quality education no matter where he or she comes from. With 63
campuses nationwide, STI has been providing real life education to the Filipino youth since 1983. The
certification of the STI Learning Delivery System from the International Standards Organization (ISO) is
a testament to the institution’s commitment to excellence. The STI Learning Delivery System composes
of courseware development, faculty training and certification, student development, and industry-grade
facilities that are all vital in shaping a student’s experience at STI.
Relevant and Timely Programs
At STI, the learning modules, lectures, and assessments — called the courseware — are
developed centrally at the STI Academic Research Center by industry professionals and experts. The
courseware is constantly reviewed, updated, and revised to ensure that the students will gain the latest
essential knowledge and skills for the real world.
Trained and Certified Educators
Ensuring that the students will receive the kind of guidance and education they need, STI continuously
trains its faculty members to be up to date on the latest learning tools and methodologies. Afterwards,
teachers go through a faculty competency certification program to determine their level of course
knowledge before they get to teach the students.
Fully-equipped Classrooms and Laboratories
Designed to familiarize students with the tools and environment of their would-be workplace, STI
invested in state-of-theart simulation laboratories and classrooms to create a space for learners to hone
their talents, practice their skills, and collaborate with classmates.
Holistic Experiences
At the core of the STI education is the drive to instill skills and qualities necessary for the 21st century,
the STI 4Cs — to have good character and integrity, possess critical thinking skills and communication
skills, and be change-adept in the face of the rapidly evolving future. These qualities are embedded in
both the academic and extra-curricular programs in STI to make sure that the graduates will be well-
equipped for any challenges in the future.
To provide young Filipino learners with access to quality education, STI enhanced its partnership
with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and Pag-IBIG Fund (Pag-IBIG) to establish the
GSIS–STI Educational Assistance Program and Pag-IBIG–STI Educational Assistance Program,
respectively.
Through the program, GSIS members, pensioners, and their qualified dependents and relatives
will be able to avail of a 20% scholarship grant in tuition fees; while a 20% scholarship grant in tuition
fees is provided to Pag-IBIG Loyalty and Loyalty Plus cardholders and their qualified dependents. Both
scholarship grants can be applied in any STI campus nationwide.
Aside from these educational assistance programs, various STI scholarships are also offered to
deserving senior high school and college students from different walks of life who wish to pursue courses
in Information Technology, Business & Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism Management,
Arts & Sciences, and Senior High School. STI likewise welcomes the Department of Education (DepEd)
Senior High School Voucher holders and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Tertiary
Education Subsidy (TES) grantees to its campuses nationwide.
With these scholarship programs, STI students around the country are given an equal opportunity
to access real life and world-class education.

STI steps up to bridge this gap by introducing the Enrollment to Employment or E2E System.
The E2E System is a complete approach to human resource development, which aims to develop
ICT-enabled professionals through innovative learning and career planning methodologies. Through
the E2E System, STI students get applicable education, job market skills, job preparedness, and job
placement assistance.
Leadership
STI exists to develop well-rounded students who have the skills, knowledge, and attitude to be
positive contributors to society. This is why we launched the STI SLC. With the vision to ensure that
every students will not only learn theories and ideologies, but also strengthen their characters while they
are within our portals.
Hundreds of thousands of competent students and graduated nationwide carry the name of the
institution as they make positive contributions in various industries and their communities here and
abroad.
With over a hundred strong strategic ties to key industry players and global companies year after
year, STI College immerses learners in the industry to produce countless world-class professionals,
business leaders, and entrepreneurs.
Citizenship
In the previous election years, STI student volunteers underwent trainings and workshops in
citizen journalism led by ABS-CBN’s distinguished journalists and were assigned as key content
aggregators during the election day. These participants were entrusted to monitor and verify incoming
reports through various media platforms. Since 1998, STI has collaborated with the media company in its
advocacy to empower young voters in meticulously selecting the rightful leaders. Now that the
partnership is in its 9th year, STI continues to promote and educate students to be responsible citizens by
actively participating in talks about social issues, being consciously aware of socio-economic matters, and
getting involved in nation-building.
As the country battles the coronavirus pandemic, learning institutions are facing unprecedented
challenges in enrollment turnout and learning continuity. Over 28 million learners in the country have
been affected by school closures and community quarantine in an effort to contain the disease, according
to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Given the disruptions in the conduct of learning delivery, the Department of Education (DepEd)
has sought the assistance of private institutions and one of its long-time allies heeded the call. Just
recently, STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI ESG) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with
DepEd to strengthen the latter’s Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP), a package of
academic interventions that will respond to the difficulties brought about by COVID-19.
Through DepEd's Learning Continuity Plan (LCP), there will be adjustments in the basic
education curriculum, which include key features of the K-12 program, alignment and delivery of
learning materials, implementation of various teaching modalities, and corresponding training for teachers
and parents for distance learning.
DepEd said in a statement that the LCP is its major response and commitment in ensuring the
health, safety, and well-being of the learners, teachers, and personnel while finding ways for education to
continue amidst the health crisis for the school year 2020-2021.
Governance
In pursuit to address complex issues such as early school leaving, schools need to move beyond
temporary and isolated measures to a strategic 'whole school approach'. In a 'whole school approach',
schools are seen as collaborative learning environments. The entire STI College network of schools
including Vigan, together with external stakeholders, take responsibility to help all learners develop to the
best of their abilities.
With a 'whole school approach', all stakeholders aim to raise quality and standards of teaching
and learning, The objective of helping learners to fulfil their unique potential is promoted consistently and
systematically across all dimensions of school life, i.e.: ethos and the environment; curriculum; teaching,
learning and assessment; connections with the community and other external actors, etc. All members of
the school community share the vision to create inclusive, learner-centred education and to engage in
school improvement. Good planning, monitoring and evaluation of school processes and practices and
effective assessment of learning are essential.
Workplace
The STI College adheres to the principle of ISO 7 —customer focus, leadership, engagement of
people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management.
Respect, diversity and camaraderie are among the values that are being imposed to the faculty and
staff. This is to ensure that every member of the organization will be committed in delivering its goals to
the stakeholders.
Innovation
Education is undeniably one of the sectors in the country that was heavily hit by the onset of the
COVID-19 pandemic last year. According to UNESCO, more than 1.5 billion students were affected by
school closures in an attempt to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease and 30 million of which are
Filipino learners.
With school closures and physical classes no longer a feasible option amidst the health and safety
concerns, educational institutions have shifted to distance learning. However, the sudden shift to remote
learning has its challenges as most learners, educators, colleges, and universities have limited resources to
meet the abrupt demands of the new learning modalities.
The global pandemic has only allowed little time for schools to prepare for remote learning and
other challenges in the curricula and learning delivery system. It is therefore crucial that we innovate,
become more creative, and use technology as a leverage to make education inclusive, robust, and
effective despite the crisis.

Tech-driven education in the new normal

STI has introduced the ONline and ONsite Education (ONE STI), an educational framework to
enable students to complete their studies last school year. For school year 2021-2022, ONE STI will
continue to be the primary learning modality amidst the pandemic.
The ONE STI Learning Model combines online learning via the eLearning Management System
(eLMS) at home with the invaluable hands-on training on-campus campus once allowed by the Inter-
Agency Task Force (IATF).
The concept of online learning is not new to STI, as the institution already implemented a
blended learning mode for the past years using a two-way cloud-based platform where students and
teachers can discuss and collaborate seamlessly.
To increase students’ productivity, STI partnered with Microsoft to provide its students and
teachers with their own Microsoft Office 365 accounts which they can use to install Microsoft
productivity apps on their devices and login to MS Teams. Through the MS Teams, students can also
attend their online classes through its extensive video conferencing and other collaborative features.
With connectivity being the main hurdle in online learning, STI showed the institution’s
commitment to bridging the gap with their recent partnership with PLDT Enterprise and Globe Telecom
where students across all STI campuses will be provided with up to 34GB monthly data plan for free.
Industry-based and interactive learning content
To complement this new learning model, STI continues to strengthen its partnership with key
players in the industry to address the learning gaps brought by the limitations of remote learning. This is a
way to ensure that students still get the most out of their education and get to apply their learnings in real
world settings to prepare them for future employment..
STI’s experience with blended learning in the past years has allowed the institution to recalibrate
its learning contents and teaching methodologies to educate students even outside the classroom
effectively.
