Major Parts of the Amplifier

1. Identify the parts of the amplifier and functions of each part.

Power
Volume Control
Volume controls on an amplifier are basically just small
potentiometers (variable resistors) that allow you to adjust the incoming
signal to the amplifier so the amplifier works well with your desired
sound level.
Input Selector
Input selector lets you select the input device such as CD/DVD,
audio tape, tuner and auxiliary input such as audio.
Power Button
Power button lets you power ON the amplifier.
Balance Control
This control is used to adjust the left and right volume balance.

Input Terminals
Make connections to input components such as turn tables, tuner,
CD/DVD and auxiliary using the RCA audio cable connectors.
Speaker terminals
Make connections to speakers using speaker cords.
