Sensor Data Intelligence Add-in

Feature name: (Preview) Sensor

Data Intelligence
When this feature is enabled, users can set up IoT
sensors to send signals to Dynamics 365 Supply Chain
Management to support the following scenarios:

• Machine status – notify production supervisors

when production equipment is down
• Product quality – capture sensor measurements of
product quality data and alert if values exceed
min/max tolerance
• Asset maintenance – update asset counter data
based on sensor activity and use to trigger
maintenance plans
• Production delays – alert supervisors when
production throughput falls below defined threshold
• Asset downtime – record asset downtime and
associated reasons

Make finished goods physically
available before posting
Feature name: (Preview) Make finished
goods physically available before posting
to journals
This feature allows users to defer the RAF journal
postings while still reporting inventory into the system
for faster RAF performance

Additional details:
• This feature supports items that are enabled for advanced
warehouse processes (WMS) and items that aren't enabled
for WMS.
• This feature supports reporting as finished from the
Warehouse Management mobile app, the client user
interface, and the production floor execution interface.
• You can configure this feature at any of several levels,
including in the warehouse parameters, production control
parameters, and production order default parameters

Multi-source products
Feature name: Source products and
materials from multiple vendors using
Planning Optimization
This feature lets you source products and materials
from multiple vendors. You configure it by defining
multiple vendors for an item and setting allocation
percentages for each of them. Planning
Optimization then automatically suggests a vendor
for every planned purchased order, based on the
defined allocation percentages and your order history.

Feature adds:
• Ability to define sourcing policies by % allocation
per vendor
• Ability to assign sourcing policies to specific
products

Assess supply risks to prevent supply chain disruptions
Feature name: Assess supply risks to
prevent supply chain disruptions
The supply risk assessment dashboard helps materials
managers understand the risk of encountering
sourcing shortages and delays, thereby enabling
businesses to take proactive actions to balance cost
and resilience as they optimize their supply chains.

With supply risk assessment, material managers can

now better assess supply risks and understand the
impact of potential sourcing disruptions.

Feature adds:
• New workspace in Procurement and sourcing
with embedded PowerBI* reports, KPI tiles, and list
views
• New parameters in Procurement and sourcing to
control KPI tolerances
