Software update for iPhone5 adapter & Navibox users
[Introduction]

Software update on the X-TOUCH System might be necessary for user who purchased
iPhone5 adapter and/or X-NAV.

This document is to give the procedure for the software update.

Please make sure to check the software version at the dealer and apply the software update
for the applicable versions.

*In case there are different user reprogram package, such as SoC A/M/H 2920 or 2922, please refer to the campaign
information released by campaign information team.
A) Preparation
Caution:
- Do not remove the USB memory with update data until the update process is complete.
- Fully charge the battery before performing the update or keep the engine running.

Remark
-USB memory size must be a minimum of 1GB.
-In case update was unsuccessful, please try again with another USB

Software Preparation

1. Execute the file “XTOUCH RC1 software update.exe” by double clicking on it.

2. Click on the “Extract” button and wait for the process to be completed

3. Once the process is completed, copy the folder “13psa” and place it on the root of an
empty USB stick
B) Version Check Before Update 4. Press the “Service Information” button in
“Service Menu”.
1. Start the engine.

2. Display “Menu” screen by pressing

5. Press the “Version Information” button in

“Service Information”.

3. And then, while keep pressing lower

knob on the X-TOUCH, operate head
lamp dimmer switch ON <-> OFF 3times.

C)Program Version Update
Before reprogramming, please confirm the software version based

Exit Program Update menu by turning off ACC and

restart.

6. Press the “OK” button in “Program

Remark: Once it starts performing updates, it is not Update file is found.

Start performin update by pressing “OK”

8. Press the “OK” button in “Program

Update Menu” like above.
C)Program Version Update
9. Update starts automatically. Wait around
10 minutes until the update is complete.
Until the update is complete,
• Do not remove USB stick.
• Do not turn off the engine or ACC off.

10. After the update is complete, turn off the
engine or ACC off and then remove USB
stick.
11. Check the version based on B) Software

12. In case there are latest user reprogram
package, apply the package by following
instruction from the beginning, after this
update.

When “No file found” is displayed, file in USB
might be broken. Therefore, try again to
download the file into USB or try with
another USB from different manufacturer.
Caution2
When “Update in progress” screen does not
change after 30min passed or “update failed”

turn ACC off and then on again. After that, re-
try from procedure No.1 in (C) Program
Version Update.
