Content Standard 10.1 Gradient
Learning Standard 10.1.1 Describe gradient and direction of inclination based on real life situation, and then explain the
meaning of gradient as a ratio of a vertical distance to horizontal distance.
Learning By the end of the lesson, students will able to:
Objective 1. Describe at least 1 out 2 meaning of gradient correctly.

Activities Description
Set Induction 1. Teacher shows pictures of a hilling area travel by Farid and Hafiz to all the students in class.
2. Teacher asks the students what the hilling area is shown and answer the question randomly based on
their prior knowledge.
3. Teacher relate the item with their lesson today.

Development ACTIVITIES:
1. Students listen to the teacher's explanation of the content of the lesson and its relevance to the
objectives of the lesson.
2. Students view power point slides about gradient formula.
3. Students are divided into 3 groups. Each group who volunteers asked to take assignments in fronts.
4. Students are given assignment (questions) and do the task.
5. Students get into respective groups for collaborative activities
6. Students are given 20 minutes to complete the assignment.
7. Students are given a speech of praise for having completed their task.

8. Students present their answer for activity for section 1- 3 orally.
9. Students move from one station to the next to learn different topics for drawing and labeling until the
station is finished

Closure 1. Students randomly selected by their teachers to summarized the activities they learned today.
2. Students also listen to their teacher conclusions about the content of the lesson today.
