Lesson Plan

Day: Tuesday No. of Pupils: 24

Date: 12/10/2021 Time: 13:40

Class Group: 5th year Length of Lesson: 60 minutes

Subject: Axonometric projection Topic: Isometric

Lesson Number: 3

Previous Knowledge and Experience/Prior knowledge and experience in this unit of learning

Students will have broad level of knowledge around isometric projection due to completion at junior cert graphics. Students will have a strong
knowledge around there equipment and the setting up process involved in technical drawing. Students will have a good level of knowledge
around isometric, Dimetric & trimetric and how each of the three process are completed. Students will have met me also and understand the
rules and regulations that I gave out in order of the lesson to function efficiently. Student will have a good understanding in how to set up the
question properly. Students are aware of the strategies implemented to prevent covid-19 from occurring and are obeying by the rules to stop
the spread. Students have now gain understanding and knowledge around axonometric and will begin to start leaving cert type questions.

How has the Previous Lesson informed my Planning for this Lesson?

Students completed an axonometric question in the previous class. This was set up with the axonometric plane already constructed as well as
the plan and front elevation. This was to complete the important part of the question within the class time. Students struggled with finding the
points so I will complete another basic drawing with them before moving on to the Cora kings workbook on axonometric.
Aim(s)/Learning Outcome (s ): To develop students’ knowledge around isometric projection via axonometric
