INSTRUCTION

ˆ The Activity shall be done in groups. A group should consist of


either 4 or 5 members.

1. Samples of sizes n1 = 45 and n2 = 55 were taken of Ayeduase homeowners


with and without air conditioning, respectively. (Data courtesy of Statisti-
cal Laboratory, KNUST.) Two measurements of electrical usage in (kilowatt
hours) were considered, The first is a measure of total on − peak consump-
tion (X1 ) during May, and the second is a measure of total of f − peak
consumption (X2 ) during May. The resulting summary statistics are
