PARTS OF A PARAGRAPH

 Title
A paragraph should always have a title so the readers will be able to understand the gist of
the text.

 Topic Sentence/Introduction
This sentence tells the reader what the main ideae, or what the paragraph will be about.

 Supporting sentence/Supporting details/Body

These are the sentences or details that the reader needs to know to understand the topic or
the main idea of the paragraph.

 Concluding details
This sentence reminds the reader of the topic or sums up the information in the paragraph.
In the paragraph below, the concluding dentence was “I love going to the park with my
family.”
