TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF BODY PROTECTION EQUIPMENT, FOR THE

CONTROL AND FIGHTING OF FIRE

Amount 100 uniforms

It must be manufactured from January 2023.

Color

Dark beige (khaki)

Conformed in its upper part by Bomberily work cotton and in its lower part by pants with
suspenders, Both of the same color, design, fabrics, seams and combination of materials.

It Must comply with European standard EN 469 edition 2005 or higher

It must meet the following certifications:

EN 469:2005/A1:2006+AC:2006 (Xf2, Xr2, Y2 Z2)

EN 14360

IN 1149-5

The original certificates must be attached, proving the requested condition

It must have the legend inside the uniform: "Property of the Gendarmerie of Chile.
Commercialization prohibited"

Outer barrier

Mixture of Meta-aramid and Para-aramid plus 2% antistatic fiber or similar.

The weight of the outer fabric should be in a range of 190 to 250 g/m2.

Intermediate membrane.

PTFE or PU type membrane joined to an aramid fiber non-woven as a membrane protector or


similar.

The membrane must have antiviral protection to protect against fluids and blood.

Inner layer

Different % of fiber composition will be accepted between Meta-aramid, Para-aramid and FR


Viscose (Fiber type Nomex, Kevlar, Lenzing FR), plus other layers that improve its performance that
will be considered as an improvement, improving user comfort.

The inner lining must have between 30% to 50% Viscose FR to improve contact, comfort with the
user and a good sweat management.
The weight of the lining should be in a range between 125 to 200 g/m2.

It must have day-night reflective tape (lemon green - silver - lemon green), in width according to
the EN 469 standard.

The distribution of the tapes should be as similar as possible to the current design of the NFPA
structural uniforms.

The sizes of the uniforms must be coordinated with the contacts informed once the process has
been awarded.

The uniform must have Kevlar reinforcements with a finish in silico-carbon (100% para-aramid
fabric with coating fireproof) in at least the following places:

Elbows, Knees, edge of mouth sleeves, Edge under the hem, Center lapel of the jacket, Pocket
pulls.

The reinforcing fabric must have antistatic fibers so that the complete structural suit complies with
the EN 1149-5 standard, the technical sheet in Spanish and the report from the accredited
laboratory must be presented, translated into Spanish, indicating that the antistatic regulations
are met.

JACKET

Jacket closure system, with frontal zipper and velcro closure for easy emergency opening, which
can be opened with the car from above or below.

The jacket must have at least two front chest pockets, one for a radio and the other for a flashlight
(Streamlight right angle model flashlight).

Two square pockets with back and bottom gussets, not front gussets to minimize snagging or
entrapment.

They must have a flap and velcro closures.

Other geometric pocket figures are accepted that ensure the Space needed to store structural
gloves or other waist implement. On the back it must have the legend "B.E.C.I" in YELLOW color in
a format accepted by the regulations that regulate the uniform, clearly indicate the system to be
used, the dimensions of the letters will be agreed with the resulting bidder awarded, all factory
installed. A central loop at chest height.

Both sleeves must have a fastening system for the thumb, loop system, through a textile strip that
surrounds the thumb, no wristband that covers the hand will be accepted. The jacket must have a
high collar and velcro closure.
Pants.

The pants closure system must be by flap, velcro and zipper closure.

The trousers must have two pockets with a lower bellows and rear but not front so as not to suffer
snags or entrapment.

The pocket must have a flap and a velcro closure. Other pocket geometries will be accepted to
ensure the necessary space to store a cape, structural glove or other elements

It will be valued that the trouser pockets are inclined to facilitate the introduction of the hand.

The pants must have padding on the knees for greater comfort, the padded material must have a
minimum thickness of 5 mm, in the same tone as the pants.

The pants must have belt loops on both sides of the waist to improve the fit at the waist.

Suspenders should be 5 to 6 cm wide, from there resistance and with padding in the shoulder
sector, of the same brand as the jacket-trousers set
