For determining the temperature at which a
sample of bituminous material loaded by a 9.5 mm
dia steel ball, drops a specified distance when
heated under specified conditions.
The new design of Ring and Ball Apparatus is
compact user friendly and has better asthetics. It
has magnetic stirrer with heating facility and digital
display of temperature.
New Feature: You can take the reading by just
pressing a button that is provided in the
control panel (FIRST TIME IN INDIA)

 THIN FILM OVEN
The thin-film oven (TFO) test
simulates short-term aging by
heating a film of asphalt binder in
an oven for 5 hours at 163° C
(325° F). The effects of heat and
air are determined from changes
incurred in physical properties
measured before and after the
oven treatment by other test
procedures.

ROLLING THIN
FILM OVEN
This unit simulates the hardening
that affects binder during its
mixture with aggregates in the
plant and during the finishing &
rolling of the bituminous layers
(Short Term Ageing). Provides the
binder sample ready for change in
mass determination and for other
tests that characterize the binder
about the resistance to short term
ageing.

CONTENT TESTER
Asphalt Content Tester is the
standard for the determination of
Asphalt Content of hot-mix asphalt
(HMA) paving mixtures and pavement
samples by removing the asphalt by
ignition in a furnace as per ASTM
D6307.

FILM STRIPPING
DEVICE
Film stripping device is used to
measure the resistance of
bituminous mixtures
to stripping of asphalt from
aggregate particles. It is generally
used to evaluate mineral
aggregates & to judge the
adhesion of the bituminous
materials. The device consists of
a disk on which 4 bottles are
mounted.

MACHINE

The Machine is having built in
refrigeration system to work a below
ambient temperature up to 10°C in
tropical conditions. The temperature
range is +10°C to 40°C and the
machine will operate at 27°C with
control accuracy of ± 0.5°C as per
the requirement of IS.
SPECIAL FEATURE: WE HAVE
REPLACED THE GEAR MOTOR
WITH ROCKER SWITCH TO
OPERATE ON 10/50 RPM.

THEORITICAL
DENSITY METER
This machine is used for determination of
theoretical density of asphalt mixer by
vacuum method for applications such as
asphalt mixer design, road condition
investigation, calculation of porosity and
compactness in the road construction
quality management.

MASTIC ASPHALT
HARDNESS TESTER
Mastic Asphalt Hardness Tester has been
fabricated to meet the essential
requirements od IS 1195 - 1968 in finding
out the Hardness Number of mastic
asphalt. Hardness Number is defined as
the figure denoting the depth in hundreds
of a centimeter, to which a flat ended
identation pin in the form of a steel rod
6.35 mm in diameter will penetrate the
mastic under a load of 31.7 kg applied for
60 seconds, the temperature being
maintained at.

HIGH TEMPERATURE
MUFFLE FURNACE
Muffle Furnace is box type heat treatment
equipment used to change physical
properties of samples at very high working
temperature. Our company makes these
machines in various temperature ranges
and chamber sizes. Each unit is made with

Our standard models are made with

Heat of Hydration apparatus is used for
