Scope:The scope of this procedure is applicable to all employees of Factory specialties in the event an authorized peson(s) has gained access to a Factory specialties facility. Responsibility:All emplyees of SAGAR ASIA. Procedure:Assess the Situation ‘¢ Ifyou feel umcomfortable challenging a stranger alone ,ask a coworker or supervisor to accompany you. ‘* Never challenge any person you feel resprsents a threaet to you or other. ‘© Greet the stranger.Simply and identify yourself. © Use a courteous approach.be polite,but firm.in a friednly manner,but assertive tone of voice,simply ask,"May i lep you?"(being polite removes the discomfort of the confrontation.)If the person has a legitimate reason for being in the areaq,you can help,and neither of you will be embarrassed. ‘© Continue to be polite,but be persistent.some strangers may be shy about asking for or ‘accepting your help.A stranger without a legitimate reason for being in the area may try to avoid your or answer you abruptly and move on.Try to be persistent. ‘© Ask open-ended qustion.Try to get the stranger to state his or her reasonfor being in the area.Asl question such as “Who are you lookin for?” “What department are you vis “What brings you here?” ‘© Verify the appointment.call or contact the appropriate person to verift the visitor is expected. ‘© Direct unauthorized visitor to leave hte area.! f the person does not belong in the area firmly and politely direct him or her to leave. Wrongdoers area unlikely to remain when they have been detected. ‘© Contact a supervisor or manager to escort the unauthorized peson off of th property. ‘© Call for assissstane.if anauthorized person refuse to leave,inform them you will call authorities.if they still do not leave follow through and call for appropriate assistance.
