L & R CTR Fuel Pumps - ON (OFF if Center Tank fuel level below 5,000 lbs.)
FLAPS - TAKEOFF (5, 15 or 25) (See Takeoff Trim & Flaps Guideline)
SPEEDBRAKES - DOWN (Verify [SPEEDBRAKES EXTENDED] light extinguished)
STAB TRIM - TAKEOFF (Verify in GREEN BAND) (See Takeoff Trim & Flaps Guideline)
RUDDER Trim - 0
Note: Review all TAKEOFF CHECKLIST steps before starting takeoff roll. Pause X-
Plane between steps during the takeoff if needed, to review each step and learn the
takeoff procedure.
TAKEOFF CHECKLIST
Below 80 knots:
Yoke slightly forward, steer with nosewheel
One hand on throttles for possible Takeoff Abort
80 knots:
Release yoke forward pressure, steer with rudder
V1 (135-145 knots):
Both hands on yoke (Takeoff can no longer be aborted)
Vr (140-150 knots):
ROTATE - 5-10 degrees (do not exceed 10 degrees to avoid tail strike)
Liftoff:
Vertical Speed - Verify POSITIVE RATE
LANDING GEAR - UP
Departure Altitude:
HEADING - Departure Heading
IAS/MACH - 250 knots
FLAPS - UP
Cruise Altitude:
IAS/MACH - 300 knots, or Mach 0.78 (Automatically set by FMC/VNAV)
Engine 1 & 2 START Switches - AUTO (CONT in rain, FLT in severe turbulence)
L & R CTR Fuel Pumps - ON (OFF when [LOW PRESSURE] warning lights illuminate)
L & R CTR Fuel Pumps - Check periodically to verify [LOW PRESSURE] warning lights
extinguished
