Install Overview
Power, Ground,

Power Pins

 Two pins are recommended Power: Aptiv Part Ignition/Ground: Aptiv Part
for the power connections on 12191818-L 12110844-L
M2 vehicles. These pins are
available online from many
sources: search on the pin
number listed below.

 If no pins are available the


wires can be 3-way spliced
into the feeds coming off
each splice block.
Display Pre-2019
The display RAM mount attaches to the dash just above the passenger’s side cup-holder.
Display 2019 and Newer
On later model M2s the display RAM mount attaches to the passenger’s side of the dash.
Antenna
Clean the dash top between the center
cover supports using alcohol pads and a
paper towel. Then attach the PMG antenna.

Battery Power and Ground
The battery power and ground blocks are located under the dash top panel near the
center of the cab.

J1708 Data Connection: Pre-2011 Model Year

 The J1708 signal line was

circuit. It was phased out If the vehicle is 2010 or older
over time but should be connect the J1708 black 2-pin

J1939 Splice Block: Years 2016 & Newer
The J1939 Splice Block
 Beginning in 2016 Daimler
is located under the top
switched to a 500K J1939
dash panel and labelled
circuit as primary. The pre-2016
“J1939 250K.”
location has that connection,
identified with white stripes on
the yellow and green leads,
plus a “500K “ label.

 On those vehicles the PMG


J1939 will connect to the 250K

under the dash top panel and in
the glove box area.

PMG
The PMG mounts behind the passenger’s side dash panel. The exact location will vary
depending on vehicle year and accessories. Some versions may require cutting the
dash panel ribs to make room.

PMG
Factory-Wired M2 Fuse
By customer request, factory installed M2s are delivered with no power fuse inserted.
Follow these instructions to power the device.

1. Locate and open the


fuse panel under the hood
on the driver’s side.

2. Verify that position


F6 is fused. If not,
insert a 15 amp fuse.
