BENILDE 35TH ANNIVERSARY LOGO COMPETITION

As part of the initial anniversary activities, the Benilde 35th Anniversary Committee
invites the creative Benildean community to design the anniversary logo of the
College.

The successful design will be used in conjunction with the Benilde Like No Other
tagline and the 35th Anniversary collaterals.

Reflective of our identity as a College, Benilde Like No Other, is a celebration of

Benilde’s uniqueness, our distinct mark as trailblazers, and the inclusive environment
where these attributes culminate. Benilde is truly an educational institution like no
other.

The 35th-year logo will be incorporated into anniversary collaterals such as invitations,
merchandise, office communications, social media, newsfeeds, banners, Blazers
apparel, and other applications.

The competition is open to all Benildean students, alumni, and associates.

Prize
The winning designer will receive Php10,000. Runners-up will receive Php 1,000 each.

Criteria for Judging

Creativity and Impact – 50%

- The logo should have well-balanced design elements leading to a pleasing aesthetic.
It should be reflective of Benilde's innovative and inclusive characters in terms of look
and feel.
Concept / Relevance – 25%
- The logo should immediately convey the relevance of the celebration that it
represents, that is the 35th anniversary of Benilde.

Originality and Innovativeness – 25%

- The logo should be unique and distinct, without any resemblance to an existing
design. It should be reflective of Benilde's uniqueness and innovativeness.

Specifications

1. Black and white and colored versions of the logo on a white background, a limit
of 3 colors, and sent in both flat image and editable files.

Editable files: .psd, .ai, .eps, .indd
2. A single multi-page pdf containing the following in this order and with the
following pages:
○ Page 1: logo in color
○ Page 2: logo in black and white
○ Page 3 & 4: logo shown in use:
■ Social Media (cover photo and profile photo, sample post)
■ Event poster
■ Merchandise (at least 3 examples)
○ Page 5: summary description or explanation of logo, designer’s concept
and intent
○ Page 6: CV and short biographic information of designer
