ABSTRACT:

Introduction:

The project aims to establish a modern Rehabilitation Centre at Govt. Mental Health
Centre Kozhikode, providing comprehensive rehabilitation services. It addresses critical
needs and contributes to various aspects:

1. Enhancing Healthcare: By creating a contemporary Rehabilitation Centre, the

project improves healthcare services, particularly in mental health, to cater to
comprehensive rehabilitation requirements.

2. Community Support: Establishing a dedicated rehabilitation facility meets pressing

community needs, offering vital assistance to individuals seeking physical, mental, and
emotional recovery.

Project Scope:

The building will feature two stories and a basement floor. The presence of hard laterite
soil necessitates an individual footing-based foundation. Drawing inspiration from
analogous projects, the design elements are chosen. The estimate includes earthwork
excavation across varying soils. Construction employs cement concrete 1:4:8 with
40mm stone and RCC 1:1.5:3 with 20mm stone for footing, plinth beam, column, beam,
lintel, stair, and slab.

Superstructure walls utilize laterite masonry with a CM1:6 mix. The project encompasses
supplying Irul wood doors, Aluminum windows, stainless steel handrails, and plastering
with cement mortar 1:4. Flooring incorporates vitrified tiles, ceramic glazed wall tiles,
and ceramic floor tiles for restrooms.
