DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT

EXTRANET STEP-BY-STEP USER GUIDE

This step-by step user guide will enable you to access the new IATA Distribution Management extranet
site, where you will be able to find and download all the relevant documentation for your participation
in the meetings of the Passenger Agency Programme.

We kindly advise you follow the steps detailed below exactly, and do not hesitate to contact us if
further information is required.

STEP 1: USER REGISTRATION
(Go to step 1.1 if you have already registered an account in IATA’s extranet)

The Distribution Management extranet site is built upon IATA’s main website, user registration is
required in order to be granted access to all relevant documentation.

In order to register, kindly click on the following address or copy-paste it into your browser:
https://extranet.iata.org/registration/pages/getemailpage.aspx?siteurl=distribution-management

This will direct you to the following website, where you will be required to enter your email address
After you have confirmed your email address and clicked on “submit”, you will be presented with the
following page, where you will be required to fill in the required fields with your personal information
Once you have clicked on “Register”, you will receive the following confirmation:

Additionally, a notification like the one below will be sent to your email:

Please follow the instructions as detailed in the email, which will open a validation page

Once you have clicked on the “Validate” button, the following message will appear on-screen, after
which our team will examine and approve your access request.
Once this process has been completed, you will receive an email with final instructions, including your
username and password.
1.1 REGISTERING AN EXISTING ACCOUNT TO THE DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SITE
(Please disregard this step if this is your first time using IATA’s extranet platform)

If you are an active user of IATA’s extranet and you wish to access the Distribution Management site,
you can request access by clicking on the following link, locating the “Register for other extranet sites”
box, selecting “IATA Distribution Management” from the drop-down menu, clicking on register and
following the instructions that will be presented to you.

2. LOGGING IN TO THE SITE

Once you have registered and received the final confirmation email, you can access the site by visiting
https://extranet2.iata.org/sites/distribution-management where you will be able to use your email or
username, along with your password to sign in.
3. USING THE SITE

Within our site’s homepage you will find, first and foremost, the updated yearly meeting schedule.
Additionally, on the sidebar located at the left side of the screen you will see links to the dedicated
folders of the Passenger Agency Conference (PAConf), the Passenger Agency Conference Steering
Group (PSG) and the Passenger Agency Programme Global Joint Council (PAPGJC) respectively.

Once you click on one of the items on the sidebar, our site will automatically check if you are a member
of said group and then will provide or deny access, depending on your membership status.

By following one of the sidebar links you will find a simple file sharing service, which will enable you to
access the latest information available for each meeting and event. You are also able to syncronize this
page to a local folder in your computer, which will automatically download the latest copy of the
documents for you (See step 4).
On the top right side of the screen you will see a drop-down menu with your username, where you will
be able to sign out and change your password.
4. SETTING UP A SYNCRONIZED COPY OF A FOLDER TO YOUR COMPUTER

Following these instructions you will be able to synchronize the data on the IATA Distribution
Management site with a local folder in your PC.

This system is based upon Microsoft’s OneDrive technology, for this reason the first step is to install the
program from Microsoft’s website:

https://onedrive.live.com/about/en-us/download/

Once you have correctly installed OneDrive, please log in to the Distribution Management Site, and
navigate to the folder you would want to synchronize:

Once you have located your folder, please click on the “SYNC” icon on the top-right corner of your
screen

Depending on your browser and PC configuration, this action might open a notification like the
following:
Please click on “Accept” or “Launch Application”, this will open a window like the one below. Once you
click on “Sync Now” a local copy of the folder you wish to sync will be created in your PC and will be
automatically updated with the latest versions of all files.
