As we go through life, we are influenced by a multitude of people.
The biggest influence we have on us
is our parents, and then teachers, and friends influenced our worldview to a certain degree. However, the person I learned the most from besides acquaintances is Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Inc. When he started the company, Jobs did not have much money but he had a vision. In the end, he could end up making Apple the company it is today because he believed in the importance of focusing on a few things and he himself practiced Zen meditation to get good at this. This is the most profound lesson I have learned from Steve Jobs' life - the importance of focus. Over time, I have reminded myself to follow that lesson in life. Whether it is work, personal life, or study, I try to focus intensely on one thing at a time. This technique was difficult to get used to but it has generated excellent results. Following this advice from the former CEO of Apple has led me to improve my focus and the quality of my life. In conclusion, a person who influenced me to do better in life was Steve Jobs. His story of starting with very little in life was motivating to me and his lesson of focusing intensely on one thing at a time has significantly improved my life.
