Holy Grasshopper!
Glen Meier was out doing a little mowing around the
ranch southeast of Glasgow when he came across
this grasshopper munching on his lilac bushes. He
ran back to the house, grabbed his .338 Remington,
and plugged it three times to bring it down! He
needed his New Holland yard tractor to haul it off.
He was going to enter it in the Northeast Montana
Fair’s “Biggest Grasshopper” contest, but it wouldn’t
fit through the door of the exhibit building. So he took
it out to Hamburger-fixin’ Doug Wixson of Treasure
Trail to have it processed. “Some good protein here,”
Glen said. Yum, yum, yum!
