Liverpool 2011
ACC Liverpool was one of the centre pieces of Liverpools year as European Capital of Culture in 2008 and the new jewel in Liverpools cultural crown. The arena and convention centre sit in a stunning waterside location, at the heart of the city and adjacent to a World Heritage Site. Views along the river are unsurpassed from the upper echelons and there are a wealth of amenities within 15 minutes walk, including the Grade I listed Albert Dock, Liverpool One shopping centre, hundreds of bars, restaurants and cafs, the famous Mersey Ferry and excellent hotels. Liverpool is much more than youd expect... its renaissance is in full swing and you will be blown away by the culture and magic of this amazing destination. Liverpool celebrated European Capital of Culture in 2008 and offers a hugely diverse programme to every visitor. Choose from sport, music and maritime to art galleries and architecture, where new bars and restaurants nestle amongst the dramatic backdrop of a World Heritage site. ACC Liverpools facilities are unique in Europe; the award-winning BT Convention Centre and the Echo Arena are interlinked by a central galleria which joins the two venues - the only design of its kind on this continent. The venue is one of the most environmentally friendly venues in Europe. Through initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, wind turbines and low energy lighting it produces just half the C02 emissions it would without any environmentally-friendly measures, while using 20 per cent less electricity. Not only this, the on-site recycling means that zero waste is sent to landfill.
Through our work we regularly get to speak with senior politicians. This event allows us to speak with the large cross section of visitors including Regional and European representatives, as it is in these locations that most of our business occurs.

In recent years a vast range of products and services have been marketed including Fair Trade chocolate, personalised mugs and even tap water! New for 2011 Distribution of literature If you are looking to get your magazine, newspaper or other literature into the hands of thousands of influential opinion formers from across all sectors of UK society and business, there is nowhere better than the Labour Party Annual Conference. This year, for the first time, we will be offering the opportunity to distribute from both specially designed racks and by hand. This will be from a specially designed literature hub, surrounding the catering area, which is one of the key spaces within the ACC Liverpool where delegates will sit and unwind. By distributing your magazine or newspaper within this area, you will be able to guarantee exposure to delegates from the world of politics, business, trade unions, NGOs, the media and more. Literature distribution points are available on both a daily and weekly basis.

The Fringe
Conference would not be complete without the wide variety of events that make up the fringe. Hundreds of organisations host a range of training sessions, seminars, debates, workshops and receptions across the main conference site and the host city more widely. It is a great opportunity for organisations from the private, public and third sectors to reach a wide audience. Conference delegates, trade union and socialist society delegates, commercial visitors, MPs and other key decisions makers make for lively and dynamic discussion on a huge range of topics. Fringe events are a chance to discuss and debate policy and political issues in a more relaxed setting than the conference hall. In 2010 we held over 400 fringe events hosted by a wide variety of organisations from the public and private sectors. To get an idea of the range of events and organisations involved, take a look at the 2010 Fringe Listings at labour.org.uk/fringe Booking space and equipment for your event has never been easier and we have a range of opportunities for you to advertise your event before and at conference.
Contact details If you are interested in holding a fringe event please contact Conference Services on 0870 043 5533 or email conferenceservices@new.labour.org.uk where a member of staff will be happy to discuss the process with you. Alternatively you can make an online booking request on the fringe page at labour.org.uk/fringe
