The Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) is the Philippines' strategic roadmap for 2020-2024 to promote inclusive growth through employment, labor market management, and social protection. 'Ambisyon Natin 2040' outlines the Philippines' collective long-term goals for the next 25 years, including stable and comfortable lives for all Filipinos. While the economy is recovering from COVID-19, corruption and governance issues remain challenges. Achieving 'Ambisyon Natin 2040' will require improving competitiveness, trade laws, and reducing labor rigidities along with investing in infrastructure and promoting inclusive rural development and education to reduce inequality.

ACTIVITY TASK 2: MY REACTION PAPER
The Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) Philippines 2020–24 is an integrated
strategic roadmap for national stakeholders to lead and implement inclusive growth in the country. The DWCP is the result of in-depth discussions with three different constituencies, with an emphasis on the three priorities of employment, labor market management, and social protection. The ILO 24-Hour World Tour Manila included the new Decent Work Country Plan (DWCP) 2020-24, which acknowledges the importance of full and productive employment, social protection, workplace rights, and social discourse in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth. ‘AmBisyon Natin 2040’ embodies the people of the Philippines' collective long-term goals and aspirations for both the nation and themselves over the course of the following 25 years. It explains how the country will look in 2040 and the lifestyle that people desire to lead. Filipinos will live firmly grounded, pleasant lives with a sense of security by 2040. We will all live stable, comfortable lives in 2040, certain that we will have enough money to cover unforeseen bills as well as our everyday requirements, allowing us to plan and save for our futures as well as the futures of our children. In my stand, yes, we are improving with a very little progress towards development for the country. The nation's economy is rebounding from the COVID-19 recession, registering 7.6 percent growth in 2022. According to a report from the Global Risk Profile, the Philippines continues to have a "medium" risk of corruption (GRP). Both Filipinos and foreigners concur that the Philippines' myriad issues might be resolved with better government. The nation has a lengthy history of pervasive corruption at all levels of the executive branch. Prior to reaching Ambisyon Natin 2040, the following three key policy reform areas must be accomplished: I enhancing market competitiveness through regulatory changes; (ii) improving trade and investment climate laws and regulations; and (iii) lowering labor market rigidities and costs. AmBisyon this program, can be partially attained by having competitive enterprises that compete and provide good products and services at fair rates. Through strengthening market connections, streamlining administrative processes, and easing access to financing, the government must promote investment in these industries. By promoting inclusive rural development, enhancing access to and the quality of education, bolstering social safety systems, and addressing opportunity disparity, policy can reduce inequality. The infrastructure of the nation needs to be improved. Throughout the past two decades, the Philippines has invested less in physical capital than its regional counterparts, thus infrastructure investment presents a chance to boost growth. The Philippines must also continue to have rapid productivity development. - Sodoso, Wench Ryechelle B. 4th Year, Student Nurse
