Facilitator
Due to limited time and members, each team member will enter their ideas into their dedicated column. Remember to keep the ideas
clear, short and do not worry about duplicates. This format is best for structured brainstorming, where the facilitator calls out each
members name on a rotating basis. The session ends when each team member passes consecutively

After brainstorming, our group comes up with these 5 projects .
Reflection on Group Brainstorming: Initially we were 6 members, but 1 member added later. All
the members performed brainstorming and came up with atleast 5 project ideas. During
brainstorming, I was thinking as a engineer ( previous experienced) and wrote down 5 projects
related to construction industry. I realized it later, and I thought, it was a wrong thinking. I
should consider the other projects those could be very useful and valuable for the organization.
I would avoid my interest while brainstorming and try to write down projects, those can add
value to the organization as well as society.
Selection of projects: We used weighted scoring model to select the project. First we have set
our criteria to measure the projects weight or Importance. Our criteria were, previous
experience in the selected projects, value addition to the organization as well as to human life,
cost of the project, and, is the project ecofriendly or not.
Paired Comparison Chart: There are 5 projects to compare. After performing comparison, I
have selected my final project as project B ‘Renovation of 500 rooms’.

While performing the comparison chart I have found myself confident and it was easy to
perform than the six thinking hat analysis. In comparison chart, it was easy to decide the
project than in six thinking hat analysis, it was challenging to decide among the options in six
thinking hat. After performing both analysis, it was able to understand that what project has
the more importance and significant value.
There was a lot of information to perform both the decision making tools, however it was
difficult to perform six thinking hat than the comparison chart. In Comparison ther is a numeric
value which shows the importance and make easy to choose a project among them but, In six
thinking hat analysis you have to think every aspect of the project like, what are the project
about, Risk associated with project, benefit of project, impact of projects etc.
The Red Hat was most challenging for me; because of everyone has a different attitude when it
comes to emotion. There could be a plethora of way for a single project to describe in in
emotion. However, The ‘Black Hat’ was straightforward because it’s ask you for the negative
thinking or ask you for the risks of the project.
Recommendation:
‘Renovation of 500 rooms’ in hotels is project to be accomplished. There were many projects, but after
applying decision making tools, I have come up with this project. It is the most important and adding the
more value to the hotel firm. This project Include the renovation of walls, ceiling, interior, floor, exterior
and interior paint, and repairing of cracks.
