The lock body and swing bar are installed on the middle door which is on the external side. Hence we can name
the doors on either side of the middle door as internal doors.

NOTE 2: The length of the swing bar can be cut from both ends to fit a door of smaller width

Example: There is a 3 Door Sliding System that needs to be fitted with the Häfele 3 Door Sliding Lock. The gap
between the internal doors is 980 mm. Find the required measurements for the lock.

As given, the distance between the internal doors is 980 mm i.e., LW = 980 mm
The length of the swing bar should be L = LW – 4 = 980 ­ 4 = 976 mm.
The default length of the swing bar is 1200 mm. Hence we need to cut it by: 1200 – 976 = 224 mm (112 mm from
both sides)
We also need to ascertain the distance at which the lock body and film hinge need to be installed. We therefore
need to calculate A / B for the same, A= B = (LW/2) – 38
= (980/2) – 38
= 452 mm

SLIDING DOOR LOCKS

FUNCTIONALITY
2 DOOR SLIDING LOCK
This lock can be combined with an anti-levering device (optional) for effective safeguard against forcible opening.

In the unlocked position, the lever (connected to the
lock) remains in a collapsed state, thereby allowing
the second door unrestricted movement.
In the locked position:
• In case the anti-levering device isn’t installed, the
lever gets into a horizontal position causing a
protrusion that blocks the movement of the
second door, thereby locking the movement of
the sliding doors
• If the anti-levering device is installed, the lever
engages with the retainer as an effective
safeguard against forcible opening

The images illustrated above are purely for representational purpose. While the functionality of the lock remains the same, the
key, for Häfele’s range, changes from plastic to metal.

3 DOOR SLIDING LOCK

The sliding door lock for 3 doors enables locking the entire system with only one lock. A steel swing bar runs along
the back of the sliding door. It is carried on brackets with a film hinge allowing the steel bar to move.
