well

more
on

We
have
also
made
good
progress
on
the
ERA
show
in
December
whilst
a
lot
of
other
activities
are
ongoing.

Development
of
the
Society
2014
is
all
about
getting
all
of
the
major
key
stones
in
place
for
the
society
to
grow
and
function
well.
The
Alte
Zeit
Gruppe
We
had
been
approached
in
late
autumn
by
The
Alte
Zeit
Gruppe
about
incorporating
their
organisation
into
the
ERA.
Discussions
went
quite
well
and
both
organisations
have
put
the
vote
to
their
members.
The
benefits
for
both
organisations
are
huge:
The
ERA
gets
access
to
a
well
run
membership
system,
a
much
bigger
website,
and
a
national
presence.
For
the
AZG
the
benefits
are
access
to
a
wider
range
of
countries
to
be
covered
and
access
to
additional
officers
who
share
their
views.
Members
of
both
organisations
were
asked
for
their
views
and
the
final
results
of
the
ballot
are
as
follows:
ERA
Eligible
to
Vote:
28

Voted
yes:
23

No:

The
outcome
of
the
ballot
has
given
us
the
confidence
to
proceed.
It
will
lay
the
foundation
stones
for
a
sustainable
society
with
national
and
potentially
international
presence.

Both
organisations
are
drafting
up
a
joint
working
agenda
to
arrive
at
a
smooth
transition
over
the
next
weeks.
We
are
also
looking
to
hold
a
member’s
workshop
prior
to
31st
March
to
establish
the
most
important
topics
members
want
to
see
covered.
