The Executive Engineer has simply furnished sections for various structural members with
STAAD Package calculations.Further, he has furnished a trial pit showing that the soil at site is
gavelly soil with SBC of 30 t/sq.m but not submitted soil test report.Due to urgency and importance
of the work, detailed designs are carried out in this office by taking SBC of soil as 30 t/sq.m subject
to the condition that, after obtaining soil test report , if any deviation in type of soil or SBC of soil is
noticed, the Executive Engineer should redesign the foundation accordingly, and submit the same to
this office for approval before grounding the work.
Features:
1] The building is designed for G+2 floors only.
2] Design is done as per limit state method and SP16 to IS 456-2000
3] Bearing capacity of soil is taken as 300 KN/SQ.m
4] M20 concrete and Fe 415 steel are used in the design
5] Bars can be bent up at 0.15L from the face of end support and at 0.2L from the face
of intermediate support
6] There shall be no overlapping of bars in tension zone I.e. at top of supports & bottom
of middle spans.
7] Bars can be extended upto 0.25L into adjacent spans at top
8] Live load on ground floor roof is taken as 4.00 KN/sq.m as itl is a school building
