“Community Organizing is a systematic, planned and liberating change process of transforming a


complacent, deprived and malfunctioning community into an organized, conscious, empowered and
self-reliant, just and humane entity and institution.” - Philippine Business for Social Progress
(PBSP)

TASK:

Make a poster, traditional or digital, on the guiding principles of community organizing.

GUIDELINES:

1. All posters must be an original work and must be in 8.5 in by 11 in size (Portrait or
Landscape).
2. Submitted posters must focus on the theme “Towards Transformation”.
3. A one-page explanation and description of the artwork (in ENGLISH or TAGALOG) limited
to 200-300 words must be attached on a separate sheet upon submission of the poster.
The composition must be encoded in an 8.5 in by 11 in size paper.

CRITERIA:

Criteria Description Percentage


Relevance to the The work readily explains the theme “Towards 40%
Theme Transformation”. The poster is relevant and compelling.
Originality and The work must be original and creative and may include 25%
Creativity personal experiences and thoughtful observations. The
student has artistically woven his interpretation of the given
theme in the poster.
Aesthetic Appeal The work must captivate the senses, taking into 25%
consideration the aesthetic principles of symmetry, focal
point, pattern, perspective, dimensionality, and proportion.
Description of Expression of meaning or description of the artwork 10%
Artwork limited to 200-300 words. This measures how well the poster
makes its own theme clear to the viewers.
