7 Power-On Commissioning
1. Turn on the SPD circuit breaker.
2. Turn on the external power input circuit breaker.
3. Turn on the UPS input switch.
4. Set UPS parameters after UPS startup, then start the inverter, and turn on the UPS output switch.
5. Turn on all output circuit breakers of the PDU5000 in sequence and check that the output voltage
is normal by using a multimeter.
6. After checking that the parameters are normal, turn off all the circuit breakers one by one and
disconnect the power supply.
NOTE
When switching on the circuit breakers, observe whether there is any abnormal phenomenon, such
as sparks or unsmooth switching on/off.

10.1 Replacing a Circuit Breaker
Prerequisites:
• Tools: electroprobe, insulation gloves, flat-head screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, multimeter
• A spare circuit breaker of the same model is available and functional.
NOTICE
Procedure:
Step 1 Turn off the upstream user switch. Remove the input power cable, UPS input and output
power cables, cabinet power cable, and signal cable from the rear of the PDU5000, and mark the
connection positions.
NOTICE
After removing cables, wrap exposed terminals with insulation tape and do not block cable
labels. If cable labels are blocked, cables may be connected incorrectly later.
Step 2 Remove the PDU5000, and remove the top and front covers of the PDU5000.
Step 3 (Optional) Remove the copper bar of the circuit breaker on PDU5000.
7
10.2 Replacing a Surge Protection Module
DANGER
• Do not replace a surge protection module during a thunderstorm.
• Before replacing a surge protection module, wear protective insulation gloves.
Prerequisites:
• Tools: protective insulation gloves, electroprobe
• Material: A spare surge protection module of the same model is
available and functional.
Procedure:
Step 1 Switch the SPD circuit breaker to OFF.
Step 2 Remove the protective panel of the SPD.
Step 3 Detect the L1, L2, L3, and N voltages to
the PE using an electrical tester pen to check
whether there is voltage, as shown in the right
figure, and verify that the faulty SPD has no
voltage before replacing the faulty surge protection
module.
Step 4 Hold the faulty surge protection module Measuring the voltage
and pull it out, as shown in the following figure.
