how do you price projects ?

We price projects on a case by case basis. Since each project differs in scale, detail and timelines, it
is best to discuss the entire scope of works, budget, timeline and requirements to get an accurate
estimate.

what is the interior design fee for ?

The interior design fee is compensation for our creative expertise and for the years of training
and experience that has taught us how to make an office look great and work well. It covers
the development of aesthetic concepts, space planning, presentations, walling layouts, finishes

< 16 layouts, electrical and lighting plans, ceiling layouts, detailed drawings, elevations, and selection of
interior design products to be used in the interior design of your space.

why use an interior designer ?

Using an experienced design professional will save you time, prevent errors, and ensure that you,
the Client, will have a fabulous work environment to use and enjoy for now and in the future.

There is always a cost attached to using a professional, but whether it is an accountant, lawyer, or
design professional, savvy consumers know that ultimately it is a cost savings to do so. Working
with a professional interior designer will actually save you money by making sure you don’t waste
your energy, buy the wrong furniture items or choose colors and finishes that aren’t exactly what
you had hoped for.

We are in touch with the market, trends, and know how to coordinate all aspects of the design
process. You will invest your money wisely, and end up with a more polished end result.

TERMS

GENERAL

 The proposed fees will comprise of no more than three re-designs during the design
stage, thereafter fees will be charged on a time basis for changes, in accordance with the Time
Charge fee table.
 Annandale Design will provide an estimated lead time for design work and working
drawings on each individual project. This cannot be negotiated, unless critical to success of the
project.
 It is noted that the role of Annandale Design is design consultation only and as such is
not responsible for any cost estimating or project management. Annandale Design will accept no
responsibility for the project value handed over to the client and changes thereon as this will be
the responsibility of a qualified Quantity Surveyor or similar. Neither will Annandale Design be held
responsible for the contractors and sub-contractors craftsmanship and timeframes and ability to
meet deadlines.

PAY M E N T

 All fees quoted exclude VAT (Annandale Design is tax exempt), Local Authority Fees,
other Professional Fees and disbursements.
 50% due at acceptance of contract, balance due at completion. The 50% deposit of the
total quoted amount becomes due immediately once the quote is formally accepted and once
an invoice has been sent to the client. Annandale Design accepts cash deposits and electronic
transfers. Annandale Design does not accept payment by cheque.
 No project shall commence until the 50% deposit has been made and confirmed. Should
a client cause a delay in the commencement of the project by failing to make deposit within a
reasonable time period, Annandale Design accepts no responsibility should the deadline of the
project not be met or any other repercussion arising from the delay.
 Invoices are due within 5 working days of receipt. Should there be a query on a particular
invoice please raise this prior to the invoice becoming overdue.
 Annandale Design reserves the right to cease work on a project and/or terminate the
contract should there be a delay in payment. Payment for additional work (not part of the scope of
works) will be requested in advance. Work on overdue accounts may be suspended without notice
at the sole discretion of Annandale Design.
 Annandale Design shall not be held responsible for any delays caused by late payments,
nor for any damages arising therefrom.
 Interest on overdue accounts shall be charged at prime + 2%. Should legal action be
necessary, all legal costs incurred in recovering debts which include attorney/client and attorney/
attorney costs, will be for the client’s account.
 Invoices will be issued for 50% deposit and after the completion of the project.

TERMS

C A N C E L L AT I O N

 The client may at any time instruct the designer to suspend / terminate work on
the project; this instruction shall be in writing and delivered to the address stipulated herein.
Immediately thereafter the designer shall be entitled to be remunerated in full for services
rendered and disbursements incurred to date of instruction.
In addition, the designer shall be entitled to an administration fee of 5% of the amount payable by
the client up to and including the date of suspension of the project.

Should work on the project remain suspended for six or more months from the date of suspension
the project shall be deemed to be terminated.

< 18 Should the work be resumed at any time after suspension of the project, the designer shall
increase the overall fee amount for the remainder of the works by 7.5%.
