Certificate for Investigatory Project

To Whom So Ever It may Concern

This is to certify that following students from class 12 th of Green Valley School for
Children have performed two days lab activities to complete their investigatory project at
the chemistry laboratory of IIT Gandhinagar. The details for the experiments are given
below:
Experiment Performed on 30th May 2023
Aim: Preparation of Potash alum from scrap aluminium.
Students performed the experiment of preparation of potash alum crystals from aluminium
foil by dissolving the small pieces of aluminium foil in aqueous KOH solution. On heating
followed by filtration provided a clear solution which gave potash alum precipitates on
adding conc. Sulphuric acid.
Experiment Performed on 31th May 2023
Aim: To study some of the common food adulterants present in different food stuffs.
On the second day of their visit to the lab, they performed the detection of various food
adulterants in turmeric, red chili, and black pepper.
