Details
Description The Domestic Investment Strategic Fund will provide matching grants (1:1) as
follows:

1. For training and R&D activities;

- Training of Malaysians
- R&D activities carried out in Malaysia

2. To undertake outsourcing activities;

- Modernisation and upgrading of facilities and tools to undertake manufacturing
or services activities for Multinational Corporations (MNCs) and Malaysian
conglomerates (outsourcing activities)

3. To comply with international standards;

- Obtaining international standards/certification

4. For licensing/purchase of technology:

- Licensing or purchase of new/high technology.

Criteria for Consideration Eligibility Criteria:

(1) Incorporated under the Companies Act, 1965/ Companies Act, 2016 and
resident in Malaysia.
(2) New companies in the manufacturing and services sectors with Malaysian
equity ownership of at least 60%.
(3) Existing companies in the manufacturing and services sectors with Malaysian
equity ownership of at least 60% undertaking reinvestment
(expansion/modernisation/diversification).
(4) Companies producing promoted products/engaged in promoted activities in
the following priority sectors:

a) Manufacturing:-
- Aerospace;
- Medical Devices;
- Pharmaceuticals;
- Advanced Electronics;
- Machinery and Equipment;
- Other industries, on a case to case basis

b) Services:-
- Design and Development;
- Research and Development;
- Testing/ Calibration;
- Quality and Standard Certification;
- Architectural/ Engineering Services;
- Technical and/or skills training;
- Logistics Service Providers (3PL)
- ICT Solutions Providers related to Automation and Industry 4.0
- Integrated Green Technology Project

*Note:
Due to an overwhelming interest in MIDA DISF (Domestic Investment Strategic
Fund), the program has reached its fund capacity and is put temporarily on hold.
MIDA is no longer taking new applications at this time and registration is closed
effective 17 December 2021.

The consideration for the grant application is subject to the availability of funding
and allocation by the Government of Malaysia and current policy in force.
