General Ethics

Abortion on Absolutism Approach

Abortion  is the termination of a pregnancy by removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus.

Why we consider Abortion?

Womens Right

- Women have the moral right to decide what to do with their bodies and a fetus is a

part of a woman's body.

- A woman is a "person" and not a human vase that can bear children. Men doesn't get

pregnant, and they don't have any restrictions on them. If women are allowed such

rights, then they can achieve equality with men. It is the freedom of choice

Parental responsibility

- Until their children are mature enough to make their own way in the world, parents

have a responsibility:

- to preserve their children's rights.

- to protect your child from harm

- to provide your child with food, clothing, and a place to live

- to financially support your child

- to provide safety, supervision, and control

- to provide medical care

- to provide an education

Maternal Mortality Rate

- The maternal mortality cases in 2020 can increase to up to 670 additional deaths from

the 2019 level (26 % increase).

Poverty

- Higher odds of experiencing poor health problems as adults such as heart disease,

hypertension, stroke, obesity, certain cancers, and even a shorter life exp

Health/Body

- High Blood pressure

- Gestational Diabetes

- Infections

- Preeclampsia
- Depression/ Anxiety

- Preterm Labor

- Pregnancy Loss/ Miscarriage

- Stillbirth

- Etc.

EFFECTS OF UNINTENDED PREGNANCY

Trauma

- Unwanted pregnancy has been associated with a child's cognitive, emotional, and

social processes. These children are more likely to experience negative long-term

outcomes in adulthood.

Psychological

- The decision of carrying the child or proceeding with abortion causes serious cases of

depression on unintended pregnancy.
