Procedure
 The specimen is placed on the rotating table of the machine and
below the penetrating ball.
 Turn the wheel of the table fill the surface of the specimen is near
the ball. The star handle of the machine is rotated such that the
ball just touches the specimen.
 Lower the handle and apply the load on the specimen. Now the
scale on the window moves down. As soon as the movement stop
a stop watch is started. Apply the load for 15 seconds after the
scale stops moving and then move the handle up and release the
load. The table is lowered and specimen is taken out.
 Take at least three indentation on each specimen.
 Measure the diameter of indentation with a graduated microscope
to an accuracy of 0.1mm
 Calculate the brinell hardness number
