LAC REFLECTION
LAC Session on Capacitating Teachers in the preparation of Action Research Part 3
January 17, 2022

A LAC on conceptualizing Action Research was conducted last January 17, 2022, via
google meet. This was participated by the teaching personnel including Head teachers in the
JHS. The session started at 2PM with a prayer, followed by a roll call. It was facilitated by
Mrs. Maria Caridad Abaya of the TLE/ESP department who also introduced the resource
speaker in the person of Mr. Felomino Valdez Jr. Teacher III of the SHS.

The resource speaker discussed the remaining parts of the Action research which
focused on its three components. Being one of the participants, I can say that I was lucky for
I was given the opportunity to learn basic skills and knowledge needed in conducting action
research. I learned from the session how to identify and describe the participants and other
sources of information, how to describe the data gathering procedures and on how to
construct data categorization. There was a smooth flow of discussion since the resource
speaker provided us examples / write-ups.

This LAC session should be implemented continuously to help teachers and learners
minimize learning concerns and issues.
