To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to highly recommend Rachel Thompson for the CSER scholarship. Her work
with our ministry over the years has been invaluable! She not only helped as a high school student,
but has continued to pour into the work of God even while away at college. She spends time while
at LU virtually attending our planning meetings for our annual youth conference and then returns
to New Life each year to participate. This year, she not only hosted the event for us, but also was a
part of the drama at the youth conference. The drama was so powerful the church demanded an
encore performance and she gladly drove the 3 hours back here 3 weeks later to help make that
happen. She also puts a lot of her time into preparing the breakout sessions for these events. We
really could not do this event where teens are saved, dedicate their lives to the Lord and get
equipped to live a victorious life serving Him, without Rachel’s help.

I will also add that Rachel has helped our youth ministry, X-treme, in so many other ways it
would be hard to list them. She helps with our summer missions trips, (participating in teaching
the skits, one-on-one evangelism, serving the homeless and helping various local ministries clean,
paint, landscape) and participates in whatever we have going on, encourages teens and shows
them how to live for Jesus. She is a hard worker and is always ready to do whatever we ask and
whatever needs done.
