Dear Sir/Madame,

This letter is to support Mr. Alfredo Federico Villar Lurquin’s application for a Standard Visitor visa
to the UK from 30th September to 16th October. Between 2015 and 2018 Mr Villar was an important
collaborator in Lima within the HORIZON 2020 – Marie Curie RISE, project number 645666
“Cultural Narratives of Crisis and Renewal” that I co-coordinated, working with a team of researchers
from Newcastle University as a researcher, author, editor, and curator for an exhibit on the history of
Peruvian graphic art.
From September to December this year Mr. Villar will visit several European universities in Spain,
France, Finland, and Germany, and he has kindly accepted to come to the UK to deliver talks,
workshops and present an exhibit of Peruvian graphic art.
Newcastle University will cover the cost of a return flight from Berlin, transport, accommodation and
living expenses and a 5 day stay in the following hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne:

Motel One Newcastle

15-25 High Bridge
Newcastle upon Tyne

Colleagues in Manchester University, Kings College, University College London, and the Latin
American House in London will host Mr. Villar as an academic visitor, providing transport and
accommodation costs within the UK. Should you require any further details or clarifications, please
do not hesitate to contact me.
All activities Mr. Villar will conduct in the UK institutions inviting him are unpaid.

Yours sincerely,
