Can help you hold yourself to a higher standard and you will tend to go further than those who

see work as a chore or seek to do as little of it as possible and have a negative work ethic. Having
a positive work ethic will also help you reach the best interests of the company and help your

coworkers as well. You will also be more likely to get a raise and be further respected by those in

higher positions.

2. How does a negative work ethic impact the company?

A negative work ethic is working against the best interests of the company. A negative work ethic

impacts not only the performance of the person who has it; it can bring down coworkers as well,

particularly those who have to pick up the slack for someone who is doing less than his or her

share. That can bring the whole office down and create resentment that starts to affect other

workers’ performance. Also if you want to move out of an entry-level position, you will need

recommendations from your supervisors, so impressing them with your skills and work ethic will

move you toward your professional goals much faster than those who cut corners.

3. What is the purpose of a resume?

A resume provides a potential employer with a snapshot of your education and employment

history to help them determine if you are a suitable candidate for a position. It is to present

yourself well in an initial interaction so that your application will go further. The purpose of a

resume is to accurately reflect your work experience.

4. Based on the results of your job search, what kinds of skills or jobs are in the highest demand

in the area in which you looked?

The skills or jobs in the highest demand in the area in which I looked were those of cyber

security, nursing, dental hygienists, and other engineering and medical jobs.

Some places to find professionals to interview are LinkedIn and through contacts. This way you

can further professionally connect with people and have people to help you with things when

needed.
