I selected this model since it is a pack of 2 and it is also double laminated and
water/moisture resistant, so it won’t get spoiled in case of water contact. With this tool I
will be able to see which colors are complementary and which colors match (or don't
match). It will help me understand the basic theory of color and show me color mixing
references.
2. Sketchbook- $12.24
I chose this model because I prefer using Strathmore sketchbooks as they are great for a
variety of different mediums. It is also a 400 series, meaning it's good for advanced artists
and is also always wirebound. I will use this to sketch any ideas I may have and use any
measuring tools like a protractor to help create accurate measurements and designs.
I chose this model because I prefer this brand of micron pens since they last longer and
don’t dry out as quickly. I will use these pens for sketching any floorplans or pieces of
furniture I’d like, as they come in many different thicknesses. The ink is also waterproof,
chemical resistant, fade resistant, bleed free, quick drying, and ph neutral.
4. Colored Pencils- $88.98 (originally $238.81)
Colored pencils are my personal favorite medium to work with, as they come in many
colors, and this specific brand is my go-to, as they are soft-cored, meaning they are easy
to blend, and have high color payoff. This specific brand is also more affordable than
others (like Faber-Castell or Caran D’Ache, which I would like to try, however, the Caran
D’Ache ones, for example, go up to $500 a box, as they are handmade etc., so they are
quite a bit of an investment) and comes in many different colors, shades, and hues.
highlights to drawings and sketches and they also flow very smoothly. They are what
bring life to said drawings. They are great for use on toned paper as well.
