Topic: Blessed are they who are not offended in Me

Text: Matthew 11:1-6

[a]

Intro :
The word of the Lord says in 2 Peter 3:9 that He is not willing that any should perish but
all should come to repentance. When we offend anybody or when we are offended we must be
willing to forgive or repent.
In our daily walk with God there are frictions we can encounter. We cannot avoid it for
sometimes it will be a lesson for us if we will not be offended in serving God. Jesus says, blessed
is he who will not be offended in me.
John already testify that Jesus was the Son of God. It was already confirm when he
baptized Jesus at the river of Jordan. And now John was in prison by Herod because of his
fearless preaching for Herod that he take his brother’s wife. John was now hoping that Jesus
would come and save him, so he sent his two disciples to ask Jesus if he is the one that should
come or they will look for another.
When John preach in Jordan river he is boldly proclaiming Jesus. He straightly answered
everyone what should be done, like the Publicans and the Soldiers. John was manifesting his
faith that many people were in expectation and their hearts thoughts that John was the Christ.
And now the Lord did not withhold for John to be prison. John in prison is now wavering
in his faith in Jesus if he were the Christ or they will look for another. So he sent his disciples for
that kind of question.
Jesus answered and said, tell John which you see and hear, the blind receive their sight,
the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead raised up and the poor have the
gospel preached to them.

WE WILL REALLY SUFFER TRIALS IN SERVING GOD

-Dili buot pasabot nga dasig ta sa pagpangalagad, wala nay trials sa atong pagpangalagad.

-Dili sa tanang panahon hayahay ang kinabuhi. Tam-is ug nindot.

-Naay panahon pa-it ug lisod.

THE QUESTION IS NOT WHAT KIND OF TRIALS YOU ARE SUFFERING BUT WILL
YOU BE NOT OFFENDED WHEN TRIALS COME TO YOU IN SERVING GOD
- Just like John the Baptist.

WHEN WE EXPERIENCE TRIALS ESPECIALLY WHEN OUR BROTHER IS THE

OFFENDER, WILL YOU REMAIN HUMBLE AND STILL CONTINUE SERVING GOD

kasakit.

THE BLESSINGS OF NOT BEING OFFENDED

- Ipatigbabaw ang paghigugma
- Mapainubsanon nga kasing kasing
- Tinuod nga nahigugma sa Ginoo
- Adunay kalipay sa kasing kasing
- Mas labaw pa nga mulambo spiritually

Conclusion:

Kristohanon, magpabilin ta nga dili mahi ubos or masakit. Pabilin ta sa pagpangalagad no matter what.

Blessed are they who are not offended in me. Bulahan sila.
