Introduction:
The fuel system control panel will control maintain the level of fuel in the day tanks with the help of a
float level switch. When the level becomes low in the day tank, the pump will pump fuel from the bulk
tank to the day tank until it reaches the high level. The system also consists of solenoid valve at the
bulk tank and day tanks. Also, a leak detection system is installed for the day and bulk tanks which will
raise an alarm and stop the pumps in case of any leak.

All the signal outputs for BMS will be hard wired.

C. Fuel System Sequence of operation:

1. When fuel level in the day tank reaches Low level (20%) the pump will start pumping the fuel
from the bulk tank to the day tank.
2. When fuel level in the day tank reaches High level (80%) the Solenoid valve for that tank will
shut off and the pump will stop pumping the fuel from the bulk tank to the day tank.
3. When fuel level in the Day tank drops below High level (80%), the Solenoid Valve at the day
tank will open.
4. When fuel level in the bulk tank reaches Low level (20%) the pump will stop and stop pumping
the fuel from the bulk tank to the day tank.
5. When fuel level in the Bulk tank reaches High level (80%), the Solenoid Valve at the filling line
will shut off.
6. When fuel level in the bulk tank drops below High level (80%) the Solenoid valve for the
respective tank will close.
7. In case of leak detection in the Bulk or Day tank, the pump skid will not operate.
8. The pump will have cyclic operation sequence, i.e., the pumps will alternate on every start.
9. In case of fire (fire signal to be provided by others), the pump will shut down and not work.

D. Switches on the panel

1. Emergency shutdown button

2. 3 step switches for pump auto/manual operation – Hand | Off | Auto
3. 3 step switches for pump selection – Pump I | Auto | Pump II (will operate in Hand mode
only)
4. 2 Step switches for Solenoid Valve auto/manual operation – Auto | Manual
5. 2 step switches for Solenoid Valve open/close – Open | Close (will operate in manual mode
only)
6. Buzzer silence push button
