NARRATIVE REPORT

We are the grade 12 Rhodolite students from Roxas Stand-Alone Senior High
School who were tasked to participate in the Business Summit entitled
Young Entrepreneurs Summit (YES) 2022. The event took place inside the
Campus last December 14 and 15.

As our subject teacher in Entrepreneurship discussed our lesson, she also

stated that we will be having an event inside the campus in connection with
our discussions. She briefed us on what the event is all about, how it will be
done, who are the people involved and what will be our roles. Our chosen
theme for the event is Fiesta themed food stall. Therefore, we named our
stall 'Rhodofest'.

From the preparation, we already encountered minor problems. One of those

is borrowing a tent for our mini stall. It was hard for us to borrow from our
respective barangay as the other sections had already borrowed almost all of
the tents. However with the help of the parent of our classmate we were able
to secure a tent a day before the event. But getting a tent does not end our
obstacles as we worry about the designs of our stall. Our tent arrived at
around 6 pm and most of the students had already gone home. Thankfully,
we have some classmates who willingly did the designs even if it's already
dark outside. They finished designing the tent at around 10 pm. It was
indeed an exhausting day for us.

The morning of December 13 came and we are all still worrying about the
design of our stall. We were really intimidated by the designs from the other
sections' stalls. They were really prepared but that didn't stop us, we did not
let ourselves lose hope, instead, we made it our motivation to do better. At
around 5 am we started designing our stall more. We put up balloons and
other colorful designs to make our stall look lively.

The event started at 7:30 in the morning. We all proceeded to the gym for
the opening program. There were guest speakers who shared their
experience in Entrepreneurship and gave us some motivational and
inspiring stories. The program ended with the official start of the business
summit after the cutting of the ribbon by the entrepreneurship teachers and
the School staff.
We all proceeded at our stall, the assigned group of people to be the cooks
were at the back. Some are preparing to cook the ingredients and some are
already cooking. On the other hand, the people from the stall already
prepared the trays, sauces, and such. The people in front were already
waiting for the products to be cooked. There were a lot of customers visiting
our stall even though the products of each group were not displayed yet. The
customers continued to visit our stall and the cooks also continued to cook
up until 10 am. The first day of the event ended with a blast selling out
products of the Rhodofest.

The second day of the event, December 15, is not as pressuring as the first
day since we already know what we should do and how we can manage our
time as per our experience on the past day. Our stall did not have as many
products as what we had on the first day because most of our ingredients
needed a lot of time to prepare but still, everyone did their best to satisfy the
cravings of our dear customers. We only have half a day to prepare and sell
our products in conclusion of making less products as the first day. With
the help of our booth; the Jail Booth, we ended up having sold out products
again.

In the afternoon, we were notified that there will be an announcement of

winners for the Most Visited Booth, Cleanest Booth, Most Creative Booth,
and etc. Although our section did not win any of those awards we were still
thankful because we had no loss in our businesses. We all had our profits
and the teachers commented and greeted us also for a job well done that
made our efforts worth it.

As per the experience, it is indeed exhausting from the preparation up to the

event itself. However, being able to experience the point of views of an
entrepreneur is really amazing. Moreover, experiencing a lot of pressure in
satisfying the cravings of our customers was really fun and rewarding.
Rewarding whenever they commend how delicious our products are, and
how they are very much satisfied with the goods and services we offer.

One of the realizations I picked up after our event was 'Motivation is

everything'. No matter how you feel intimidated, pressured and scared, you
must not make it your disadvantage, instead make it your advantage to
strive and do better. If you believe that you can make it, you surely will. In
addition, I would also like to share how proud I am with the whole class.
The hard work, efforts, and teamwork we made is really commendable.

I will never forget that day where we were called 'Young Entrepreneurs'. It
will always be one of the best memories.
